Follow all the precautions outlined in the previous
section for the 10 micron lter.
Replacing the 1 micron lter:
1. Make sure the waterblasting system is shut-
down and the truck is in the service posi-
tion.
2. Close the clean water supply valve and bleed
pressure from the charge water system.
3. Remove lter canister lid and retainer ring.
4. Remove the lter retainer bolt and lter. Then
ush lter canister to remove debris and con-
taminants with clean, fresh water.
5. Apply a thin coat of anti-sieze to the lter
retainer bolt threads.
6. Insert the new lter and retainer bolt into the
lter canister. Hand tighten the retainer bolt
just enough to seat the lter (snug). Make
sure not to over tighten the bolt and col-
lapse the lter cartridge.
7. Coat the retainer ring threads with anti-sieze
and install lter canister lid.
8. Open the clean water valve, reactivate the
waterblasting system and follow the instruc-
tions to purge air from the charge water sys-
tem in the next section of this chapter.
9. Activate the charge pump and ush the low
pressure side of the pump and charge water
system using the ush valve before operating
the UHP pump after changing the lters.
