4.5 Bleeding Air From
Charge Water Pump
Air must be bled from the charge water system
when the lters are changed, the clean water tank
is run dry or anytime the charge water system is
serviced.
Use the following procedure to bleed air from
the charge water system:
1. Make sure the truck is in Operate Mode with
the waterblasting system activated. The truck
engine must be at idle.
2. Open the clean water supply valve and turn
ON the charge water pump.
3. While the charge pump is running, open the
discharge valve on the charge water pump for
2 or 3 seconds, then close the valve.
4. Immediately repeat step 3 while monitoring
the charge water pressure gauge in the joy-
stick console.
5. If pressure does not rise to the normal charge
water pressure range within a few seconds,
repeat step 3 until pressure rises to the normal
range (60 psi - 4 BAR).
