BCU 460, BCU 465 · Edition 11.19 93
Parameters
11.8.7 Air actuator control
Parameter A048
In cyclic operation, parameters A048 and A049 on
BCU..F1 and F3 determine the behaviour of the air ac-
tuator during burner start and burner operation.
The air actuator can be activated externally via the in-
put at terminal4 for cooling the burner in the start-up
position (standby). This function is not available during
burner start-up and during operation.
Parameter A048 = 0: opens on external activation.

This setting together with parameter A049 = 0, see
page95 (Air actuator can be activated externally on
start-up), is required for burners on which the air/gas
ratio is controlled by a pneumatic air/gas ratio control
system and which need to be started at low-fire rate,
e.g. on two-stage-controlled burners, see page12
(Two-stage-controlled burner). In this case, activation
of the air actuator during burner start via the input at
terminal4 must be prevented.
External control allows switchover between low fire and
high fire during operation.
