General Information
This section describes the physical keystrokes necessary to perform keypad programming and discusses
how to interpret the data displayed on the keypads during programming operations. Instructions are
provided for LED, LCD, and Fixed-Word keypads. To enter data from a keypad, refer to the
instructions in this section for the type of keypad being used.
NOTE: Actual keypad programming should be performed only after completion of the programming
sheet.
Data Entry via LED Keypad
The following paragraphs provide an explanation of how to use an LED keypad for data entry.
Enter Programming Mode via Keypad
The System Programming mode can be entered ONLY WHILE DISARMED, as follows:
To enter Installer Programming: Press [Code] [*] 4-digit Installer code (default 2468) [1]
What You See on the LED Keypad
Program Mode = READY LED Pulsing
As soon as you enter the Installer Keypad Programming mode, the READY LED slowly pulses, and
continues to pulse until you leave this mode. The remaining LEDs display the question number and
location contents as indicated below:
