CAUTION
Some accessories consist of two assemblies connected together by rib-
bon cables. Do not completely remove these accessories with the panel
on it until the cable has been disconnected. When reassembling these
assemblies, sets,
insert the top assembly first, then insert the lower
one before connecting
them together.
3. Remove the interface board/card from it's slot.
Note
Before installing interface boards or cards, ensure they are correctly
configured for
the application and/or peripherals.
4. For the high-speed disc add-on board, slide and rotate the HP-IB cable retaining plate
counter-clockwise, then carefully remove the cable connector.
CAUTION
When installing the high-speed disc add-on board to the system inter-
face
board, use extreme caution when connecting the HP-IB .cable to
the add-on board. Improper connection will damage and bend pins on
the add-on board connector. Connect the pins first, then the cable.
5. To install the interface, reverse steps 1, 2, 3, and 4.

• 98258-66521 4 lVlbyte RAM Add-On.
• 98258-55622 12 :Mbyte RAM Add-On.
• 98562-665~i1 High-Speed Disc Interface Add-On
Preliminary Requirements
1['urn the computer off. Remove the power cord and the following assemblies:
1. System bus before removing RAM add-on boards.
2. The board with the add-on attached .
• For RAM add-on, remove the 4 Mbyte RAM Controller Board .
• For high-speed disc add-on, remove the system interface board.
