To autoscale on a video signal

Use a cable to connect a TV signal to channel 1.

Press
Slope/Glitch
in the
TRIGGER
section of the front panel,
and select the
TV
softkey as your trigger mode.

To select a TV standard, press the
TV Menu
softkey, then press the
Standard
softkey to select the TV standard. Your choices are
NTSC
,
PAL
,
SECAM
, and
GENERIC
.
GENERIC
is used for other TV/Video
standards. If your TV standard has been previously selected, you
may skip this step.

Press
Slope/Glitch
, then press the
Video Autoscale
softkey.
Provide Correct Matching
Many TV signals are produced from 75- sources. To provide correct matching
to these sources, an HP 11094B 75- load is included as an accessory. For
oscilloscopes that have selectable input impedance, the 1-M input should be
used with the 75- load.
The
Undo Autoscale
softkey in the Setup menu resets the instrument to the
configuration that was present before pressing
Video Autoscale
.
