ISSU process
ISSU follows a strict procedure, as shown in Figure 2.

Do not modify the current configuration, plug or unplug cables connected to IRF ports, or delete or modify
the boot file during ISSU. Otherwise, an upgrade failure may occur.
To upgrade the boot files of IRF member switches through ISSU, the member switches must form a ring
topology.
