Installing the switch in a 19-inch rack
The switch can be installed in a standard 19-inch rack. Installation falls into one of the following
scenarios:
• Installing the switch with front and rear mounting brackets.
• Installing the switch with front mounting brackets and a rack shelf.
• Installing the switch with front mounting brackets and slide rails.
NOTE:
• The front mounting brackets can be used only for securing the switch, rather than bearing weight.
• You can install the mounting brackets to the two sides of the front panel or rear panel. This section
installs the mounting brackets to the two sides of the front panel.
