SIM board
To remove the SIM board:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparing to disassemble the computer on page 37).
2. Remove the hand strap (see Hand strap on page 38).
3. Remove the rear cover (see Backplate on page 39).
4. Disconnect the battery (see Battery on page 44).
5. Remove the display (see Display on page 40).
6. From the back of the chassis, disconnect the cable from the system board (1).
7. From the front of the chassis, remove the SIM insert from the SIM board (1).
8. Remove the screw that secures the SIM board to the computer (2), and the lift the board out of the
computer (3).
To install the SIM board, reverse the removal procedures.
