Extend or remove the server from the rack ("Remove the server from the rack" on page 27, "Extend the
server from the rack" on page 27).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 33).
4. Disconnect the cable from the optical drive.
5. Remove the optical drive ("Optical drive" on page 33).
6. Remove the optical drive cage.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Hot-plug fan
CAUTION: To avoid damage to server components, fan blanks must be installed in fan bays 5
and 6 in a single-processor configuration.
The only two valid fan configurations are listed in the following table.
