CAUTION: In systems that use external data storage, be sure that the server is the first unit to be
powered down and the last to be powered back up. Taking this precaution ensures that the system
does not erroneously mark the drives as failed when the server is powered up.
4. Extend the server from the rack (on page 27).
5. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 33).
6. Remove the PCI riser cage ("PCI riser cage" on page 43).
7. If the capacitor pack is connected to the cache module, disconnect the capacitor pack cable from the
connector on the top of the cache module.
8. Disconnect the capacitor pack from the air baffle.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Flash-backed write cache capacitor pack
To remove the component:
1. Back up all data.
2. Close all applications.
