Extend the server from the rack (Extending the server from the rack).

in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can lead to thermal damage.

10. Disconnect the HPE Smart Storage Battery cable from the system board.
11. Remove the HPE Smart Storage Battery.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
