Fan cage (LFF)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
1. Power down the server (on page 20).
2. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
3. Remove the access panel (on page 21).
4. Remove the fan duct (on page 69).
5. Remove all fans from the system (on page 81).
6. Remove the front drive cage backplane (on page 91).
7. Remove the fan cage from the system.
a. Remove the 3 screws securing the fan cage to the system.
b. Lift and remove the fan cage.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
