SAS expansion enablement FIO kit (optional)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 20).
2. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
3. Remove the access panel (on page 21).
4. Remove the fan duct (on page 69).
5. Remove the left riser cage (on page 70).
6. Remove the fan cage bracket.
a. Remove the 2 screws securing the fan cage bracket to the system.
b. Lift and remove the fan cage bracket.
