To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
8-bay SFF hot-plug drive cage
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 24).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Place the server on its side.
4. Remove the access panel (on page 24).
5. Remove the front bezel (on page 25).
6. Remove all drives ("Hot-plug drive" on page 30).
7. Remove all drive blanks ("Hot-plug drive blanks" on page 29).
8. If installed, remove the PCI air baffle (on page 25).
9. Remove the system air baffle (on page 26).
10. Disconnect the Mini-SAS cable and the power cable from the drive backplane.
11. Remove the SFF hot-plug drive cage.
