Removing the graphics expansion module from the frame
Procedure
1. Power down the graphics expansion module.
2. Unlock the latch.
3. Remove the graphics expansion module from the frame.
CAUTION: The combined compute and expansion module assembly weighs up to
1459 kg (3216 lb). Use caution
when removing from the frame to avoid bodily injury and equipment damage.
4.
Place the graphics expansion module on a flat, level surface.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to electrical components, properly ground the graphics expansion module before
beginning any installation procedure. Improper grounding can cause ESD.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Installing the graphics expansion module into the frame
Procedure
1. Install supported hardware options into the graphics expansion module.
2. Remove the end caps from the graphics expansion module.
3. Install the graphics expansion module into a double-wide frame. Press the graphics expansion module handle near the
release button to completely close the handle.
