CAUTION: When removing a system board, always install all processor socket covers to prevent damage to the
processor sockets and system board.
To replace the component:
1. Install the spare system board, angling and then aligning the front edge of the replacement system board with the arrow
markings in the pan.
IMPORTANT: Before attaching the graphics expansion module, set system maintenance switch 9 on the compute
module to the On position. Failure to do so results in an HPE OneView detection failure, and the expansion module
will be inoperable. To locate the system maintenance switch, see "System board components."

NOTE: Be sure to remove the heatsink dust cover from the new system board, and install it on the replaced system board.
2.
Install all components removed from the failed system board.
Be sure to install the DIMM and HPE Persistent Memory modules in the same DIMM slots as the failed system board.
3.
Install the access panel.
4.
Install the graphics expansion module into the frame.
5.
Power up the graphics expansion module.
6.
Refresh the graphics expansion module in HPE OneView to ensure the correct product serial number and product ID are
displayed.
7.
Reassign the server profile if it was assigned previously.
8.
Review the persistent memory configuration of the graphics expansion module.
9.
Do one of the following:
If HPE Persistent Memory modules are encrypted with local key management, either manually enter the HPE Persistent
Memory module passwords in the System Utilities or import the password file from the USB key.
If HPE Persistent Memory modules are encrypted with remote key management, enroll the graphics expansion module
iLO in the key management server to provide access to the data on the HPE Persistent Memory modules.
Re-entering the server serial number and product ID
After you replace the system board, the graphics expansion module serial number and the product ID must be configured:

2. Power up the graphics expansion module.
