3. Replace the ONT with an ONT of the same type. It is found that the new ONT can
receive the broadcast traffic. Then, check the versions of the ONTs.
Version of the ONT before the replacement: V100R001C02B016
Version of the ONT after the replacement: V100R001C02B020
Later, it is confirmed that in the V100R001C02B016 version, the broadcast traffic is
totally suppressed.

Update the version of the 813e to V100R001C02B020. It is found that the problem is
solved.

In an office, all ONUs (HG850s) connected to a PON port of the MA5680T providing the
GPON service get online and offline frequently. The customer checks the optical path on
site. The optical path is normal. Replace one of the ONUs that get online and offline
frequently. The fault persists. The ONU after replacement and other ONUs still get online
and offline frequently.

Cause Analysi
s:
ONUs connected to other PON ports of the same GPBC board are normal and the fault
is not caused by the optical path. Therefore, the possible causes of the fault are as
follows:
1. The PON port is faulty.
2. The optical splitter is faulty.
3. The ONU is faulty.
Handling Proces
s:
1. Remove optical fibers that connect optical splitters of the first level to all optical
splitters of the second level and directly connect the ONUs to the optical splitters of the
first level. The ONUs go online normally and are stable.
