If any page is blank or a menu cannot be accessed after you log in to the WebUI, clear the
cache, refresh the page, or log in again.
Step 3 Log in as Advanced User. On the Settings tab page, choose Comm. Param. > Ethernet to
set Ethernet parameters.

The SmartLogger1000 IP address must be in the same network segment as the router IP address.

Set Subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.

Set Default gateway to the router IP address.

Set DNS Server Address to the router IP address usually or to an address obtained from the network
carrier.
Step 4 Log in as Advanced User. On the Settings tab page, choose Comm. Param. > RS485 to set
RS485 parameters.

RS485-1–RS485-3 respectively correspond to communications ports COM1–COM3 on the
SmartLogger1000.

The values of Protocol, Parity, and Baud rate for the devices connecting to the same
communications port must be consistent.
Step 5 Connect the SmartLogger1000 to the SUN2000L.
