Turn the adjusting screws

the markings on the left and right chain adjusters

the same position relative to the reference marks

are fitted correctly on

Finishing work
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 45)

Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 45)

Check the chain, rear sprocket, and motor sprocket for wear.
» If the chain, rear sprocket or motor sprocket is worn:
Change the drivetrain kit.
Info
The motor sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain
should always be replaced together.
When fitting the chain joint, always make sure
that the closed side of the joint faces forward
(riding direction).
Check the chain for wear.
» If the chain is worn:
Change the drivetrain kit.
Info
When a new chain is mounted, the rear
sprocket and motor sprocket should also be
changed.
New chains wear out faster on old, worn
sprockets.
