START-UP
The V-18 II control console has been designed to simplify the operation of the saw so that the operator has
the ability to stop any function at any time, and to be able to control all the functions of the saw remotely.
We can not overstress the importance of familiarizing yourself with the controls of the V-18 II prior to starting
the machine for the first time.
NOTE:
WHEN STARTING THE V-18 II FOR THE FIRST TIME
MAKE SURE
THAT THE PRESSURE IS 650
± 25 PSI (900psi for extended head machines),
AND
THAT THE BLADE IS RUNNING IN A
COUNTERCLOCK-
WISE
DIRECTION AS VIEWED FROM THE DOOR SIDE THE OF HEAD.
CONTROL CONSOLE
The operator console has the ability to articulate to suit the preference of the operator. It is arrayed with a
complete set of controls to operate both the hydraulic and electrical functions of the saw. All of the selector
switches have to be placed in their neutral center position for the hydraulics to start. This is a safety feature
which is designed to prevent any un-wanted hydraulic actuation without the concious intervention from the
operator.
