customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).
v If an action step is preceded by “(Trained service technician only),” that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.
Error code Description Action
166-060-000 System Management: Failed. Unable to
communicate with ASM. It may be busy.
Run the test again.
1. Update the firmware (BIOS, service processor,
and diagnostics; see “Updating the firmware” on
page 13).
2. Run the diagnostic test again.
3. Correct other error conditions (including failed
systems-management tests and items that are
logged in the Remote Supervisor Adapter II
SlimLine system-error log) and retry.
4. Disconnect all server and device power cords
from the server, wait 30 seconds, reconnect the
power cords, and retry.
5. Reseat the Remote Supervisor Adapter II
SlimLine.
6. Replace the Remote Supervisor Adapter II
SlimLine.
166-070-000 System Management: Failed. Unable to
