Installing the Audio Device Driver for OS/2
To install the audio device driver for OS/2:
1
Start OS/2.

Insert the Audio Features Diskette for OS/2 into the diskette
drive.

Open the OS/2 command prompt and type MINSTALL; then
press Enter.

Select the source drive as A: (the drive name for the diskette
drive of your computer).
The installation program shows Crystal Audio (Pre-Selected)
IBM OPL3 FM MIDI Synthesis (Pre-Selected).
A check mark appears next to the selected items.

Click on Install; then follow the instructions on the screen.

When you have completed the installation, restart the
computer.
Installing the ThinkPad Modem Software for OS/2
The modem function of your computer is supported by a digital signal
processor (DSP) called the IBM Advanced Communications
Processor. You must install the ThinkPad Modem software for OS/2
to use the modem function.
If you have multiple operating systems, you might need to install the
ThinkPad Modem software for each operating system. For example,
to enable OS/2 and Windows applications for ThinkPad Modem
functions, install the ThinkPad Modem software for both OS/2
and
Windows.
To install the ThinkPad Modem software for OS/2:

Start OS/2; then open the OS/2 screen command prompt.

Insert the ThinkPad Modem for OS/2 Diskette into the diskette
drive; then type A:\SETUP and press Enter.
The installation window appears on the screen.
