Installing the power-supply backplane
To install the power-supply backplane, complete the following steps.
1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation guidelines”
on page 39.
2. Align the keyhole slots in the power-supply backplane with the mounting pins in
the server.
3. Slide the power-supply backplane toward the right side of the server until the
edge-connectors are fully connected.
4. Reconnect the cables to the power supply backplane.
5. Install the power supplies into the power-supply bays (see “Installing a power
supply” on page 65).
6. Install the cover (see “Installing the cover” on page 42).
7. Slide the server into the rack.
8. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that were removed.
9. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
