4. Spread the card retainers as you lift the Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine
card to disconnect it from the system board, then lift it out of the server.
Installing the Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine
To install the Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine assembly, complete the
following steps. Refer to the graphics in “Removing the Remote Supervisor Adapter
II SlimLine” on page 57:
1. Position the Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine card so that the keys on the
connector align correctly with the connector on the system board.
2. Insert the card into the rear retainer bracket; then, press the card into the
connector and make sure that all support posts and retainers secure the card in
place.
3. Replace the PCI riser-card assembly and adapter (if present).
4. If you are instructed to return the Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine, follow
all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are
supplied to you.
5. Install the cover (see “Installing the cover” on page 42).
6. Slide the server into the rack.
