Installing a riser card assembly
To replace a riser card assembly, complete the following steps.

1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation guidelines”
on page 39.
2. Reinstall the adapter, if one is present. See “Installing an adapter” on page 47.
3. Insert the riser card assembly into the connector on the system board. Be sure
that it is fully seated.
4. Install the cover (see “Installing the cover” on page 42).
5. Slide the server into the rack.
6. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that were removed.
7. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
