7.1 > Main principles
MorphoWave SP is a biometric acquisition terminal which captures fingerprints by the applicant waving their
hand through the active volume. The product can track and capture simultaneously up to 4 fingerprints at
a maximum speed of 0.5m/s.
To acquire fingerprints, the applicant waves his hand between the product glass and protective cap as
shown in the Figure below.

Note: The recommended hand wave direction is from right to left, even though the sensor will accept both
directions.
