Mainboard
The mainboard is located in the bottom front part, on
the right; it includes a serial port for connection of the
hardware key. The board can programmed if replaced,
or if the EEPROM file suffers damage, or when a new
version becomes available.
The heater unit is made up of four heating coils
wound onto mica formers, supported by insulators
of the same material. These insulators are mounted
on a steel chassis that carries the rear thermal over-
load and safety devices. The unit is fixed to the rear
cover with screws. Air is directed through channels
in the chassis. The heating elements, temperature
controls, thermistors and rear guard are supplied
as an assembly and have a 5-way connector provi-
ding the interface with the electronics. The coils of
the heater unit make up one top element and one
bottom element.

The bottom element is rated 1100 watts (static)
and receives its full power input permanently

The top element is rated 1100 watts (dynamic)
and temperature-controlled electronically or by the
front thermostats during the programme, so as to
maintain the appropriate level of heat in the drum
throughout.
The condenser receives steam under pressure from
the drum, forced in by the rear fan; the water produ-
ced by condensation is channelled into the reservoir
housing the drain pump.
