Items must be checked: Check whether Fd‑10 is set to 3 for the power supply unit and
to 1 for the drive unit.

Failure to write
frequency
1. Check the address in the configuration table based on F0‑03.
2. Check whether the termination resistor is connected. If not,
connect the termination resistor and then power on the AC
drive again.
Failure to start the AC
drive
1. Ensure that F0‑02 is set to 2 (communication). 0 means
operating panel and 1 means terminal.
2. Check whether the termination resistor is connected. If not,
connect the termination resistor and then power on the AC
drive again.
Unstable connection
1. Ensure stable connection on PLC side.
2. Ensure stable connection on AC drive side.
3. Check whether the signal cable is close to the power cable.
Keep the signal cable away from the power cable.
Incorrect reading
1. Ensure that the address configured is correct.
2. Ensure that data conversion is performed.
3. Ensure that the D element is not occupied.
5.8.2 Example of Configuration on Beckhoff Controller Using ECAT Card
The following takes the Beckhoff TwinCAT master station as an example to describe
how to configure the ECAT card.
1. Install TwinCAT.
Windows XP system: tcat_2110_2230 is recommended.
32‑bit Windows 7 system: tcat_2110_2248 is recommended.
2. Copy the EtherCAT configuration file (MD800_9Axis_V0.16.xml) of the AC drive to
the TwinCAT installation directory.
