Keep 1 feet gap between device and any computerised systems in the vehicle to avoid
mutual interference.
Do not install the device or wire near the moving or rotating part of the vehicle.
8.2.2.2 Non-preferred location
Outside the passenger compartment.
In the engine compartment.
Inside collision absorbers and bumpers.
Inside AC ducts.
Close the Airbags.
Under the roof of the vehicles.
Under the vehicles.
Inside the metal dashboards.
Near the fuel tanks.
Near the wheels.
Near radio transmission antenna.
8.2.3 Device Orientation
The orientation of the device is very important to get the good GNSS reception. The LED indicators
should face the sky as GNSS antenna is mounted on the top plane of the PCB where the LED
indicators are placed and should have clear sky view, unobstructed by any metal or shields. The
maximum allowed deviation of orientation from the horizontal plane is 40
0
.
In any case the top side should have free space (Without any metal obstruction) of 1 feet around the
device.
