Installation
See Figures 7-22 and 7-23.
Figure 7-22
1. Install the upper bearing (4) into the wheel pivot
weldment (5).
2. Install the lower bearing (8) into the wheel pivot
weldment (5) with the surface showing the
identification number and/or name facing up (inside
the tube).
3. Fill the recessed area of the Nilos ring (7) with
grease. (Refer to “Safety, Operation, and
Maintenance Manual” for grease specifications.)
4. Install the Nilos ring (7) over the shaft of the rear
wheel support (6).
5. Install the rear wheel support (6) in the wheel pivot
weldment using a screw (1), lock washer (2), and flat
washer (3).

6. Connect the rod end (11) of steering cylinder to the
rear wheel support (14) using screw (9) and four
washers (10). Tighten screw fully.
7. Install nut (12) and lock washer (13) on screw (9).
Tighten nut to 103 lb-ft (140 N·m).
8. Install the rear wheel motor. (See “Rear Wheel
Motor” on page 5-36.)
9. Install the hood. (See “Hood” on page 9-6.)
