Traction Pedal
Removal and Installation
See Figures 9-18 through 9-21.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-7.)
2. Remove the traction pedal damper. (See “Traction
Pedal Damper” on page 9-12.)

3. Remove two lock nuts (1), flat washers (2), and
screws (4), and remove the traction pedal assembly
(3).

4. Remove lock nut (9), screw (7), and three flat
washers (8), and disconnect rod end (5) from pedal
weldment (6).

5. Remove two lock nuts (10), flat washers (11), and
carriage bolts (12), and remove stop bracket (13).

6. Support the bracket assembly (17).
7. Remove two screws (18) and lock washers (19).
8. Remove two lock nuts (14), flat washers (15), and
screws (16).
9. Remove the bracket assembly (17).
Installation Note
Install the traction pedal by reversing the order of
removal.
