3 To view the details for a network, on the Scan Summary results, use the up and down arrows
to highlight the desired network, and then press the OK key.
Table 13 describes the WiFi detailed results.
Emulating a WiFi end point
The “WiFi Network” feature is used to provide a connection to the WiFi network as a managed end
point. This allows you to ping or surf the web to verify data connectivity, place VoIP calls, and
perform other tests.
To emulate a WiFi end point
1 From the WiFi menu, select WiFi Network.
2 Select Network.
3 Select End Point Setup, and then do the following:
a Select SSID to verify the network ID that you are connect to.
b Specify the Key, if necessary (the network has security enabled).
c If needed, specify the Network Setup as described in Specifying the network setup” on
page 42. (NOTE: WiFi always uses NAT.)

Results Description
MAC Address The MAC address of the specific wireless network.
SSID The Service Set Identifier of the specific wireless network
Protocol The IEEE protocol used on the network.
Channel The WiFi channel being used by the specific network
Frequency The signal frequency of the WiFi network
Encryption The security encryption being used on the WiFi network
Max Bit Rates The highest bit rates measured on the WiFi network
Signal Level The power level of the selected WiFi Network
