1. Safety instructions
1.3 Working with the woodchipper
1. Working with the machine is only allowed when all safety devices and covers
are mounted.
2. It is not allowed to remove, to block or to disable the existing safety devices.
3. Additional to the instructions of this manual also the applying safety and
accident prevention instructions need to be followed.
4. Within the workspace, the operator is responsible for third parties.
5. The legal age for working with the machine is 18 for training under supervision

6. The clothing of the operating personnel should be close-fitting. Avoid lose
clothing. Use safety shoes, head, ear, eye and head protection!
7. Before starting work the operating personnel has to get acquainted with all
equipment and operating elements. The operator has to ensure that all safety
and covers are fully functional and correctly mounted.
8. Check that all safety devices are fully functional!
9. Before starting up the machine leave the danger zone!
10. Do not run the machine in closed space!
11. Never leave the machine unattended while running!
12. Safe the machine against inadvertent rolling and unauthorized use when
leavening the machine (fixing brake, wheel chocks, switch off engine and pull
off key).
13. Only work in good light and vision conditions!
14. Only feed in wood from safe stand!
15. Do not exceed max. trunk diameter (see technical data)!
16. Parts of the feeding e.g. rolls, chains and belts cannot be constructively fully
secured because of their function. Always stay away from these moving parts
and analogous to all moving parts of supplementary devices!
17. Do not reach into the infeed chute! Attention rotating parts!
18. Only remove oddments with proper devices (e.g. wooden slat) and switched off
machine!
19. When persons get pulled in move the safety bar jerkily in „stop“ position to stop
the infeed! For machines without safety bar: use the safety devices (e.g. palm
switch, emergency stop control)!
20. In case of accidents:
- Secure accident site
- Render first aid!
