6.8. Electric system
6.8.1. Battery
1. Always disconnect the battery (negative pole) when working on the electrical
system!
2. Observe the right order when disconnecting the battery – first negative then
positive pole! – Connect the battery in invert order!
3. Use caution with battery-gases – explosive!
4. Avoid sparking and naked flames near to the battery!
5. Remove plastic cover when charging the battery to avoid accumulation of high-
explosive-gases!
6. Attention when handling with battery fluid – corrosive!
7. Only use prescribed fuses. When using stronger fuses the electric system gets
damaged – danger of fire!
8. Always put the designated cover on the positive pole. Fault to frame can cause
explosion!
6.8.2. Cables, switches and plug connections
Check the plug connections for proper connection when maintaining the electric
system. Check the function and the proper mounting of the safety switches. Check the
cables for damage.
6.8.3. Overload safety device
For maintenance and calibration of the overload safety device see manual
HC960/HMCflex.
6.8.4. Wiring diagrams
Wiring diagrams can be found in the appendix.
