1. Safety instructions
1.2 Setting up the machine
The following points need to be followed when setting up the machine:
1. The woodchipper needs to be placed stable on a flat and firmly ground!
2. Stable stand of the machine with chassis frame with additional support legs:
lower support legs and use wheel chocks.
3. It is only allowed to use the machine with mounted exhaust chute!
4. Positioning of exhaust chute and exhaust trap: averted from the operator and
that no one gets in danger by ejected chips.
5. Persons are not permitted to be present in the danger zone of the machine!
6. Ensure that no persons are present in the danger zone of the machine.
7. Ensure that the operator has an operating range of min. 4 meters.
8. The location must be chosen so that the safety devices do not get affected.
9. The properties of the operating area must be such that there are no dangers for
the operator (e.g. trip hazard, slipping, etc.).
10. The infeed chute must be positioned in a way so that the function of the safety
shut-down is not affected. For machines that have the safety bar below the
infeed chute the operator has to ensure that there is a min. clearance of 600
mm between the ground and the bottom of the infeed chute. (according to
Accident Prevention Regulations)
11. For machines that are designated for mounting on truck platform must be lashed
on the platform with the four fastening eyes.
It is not allowed to use the fastening eyes for lifting operations.
12. For machines that are designated for crane use the operator must be outside
the danger zone or in the cab of the crane/machine. The danger zone is defined
by the crane.
The operator is responsible that there is no one in the danger zone while
working with the machine/crane.
13. Ensure that there is always enough clearance to power lines of all types.
