4. Working with the woodchipper
4.9 Blockade of the machine
In case of blockade turn off the machine immediately and secure it against accidental
start up (pull off key of the machine/traction unit). Wait until the machine has come to
a total stand still before opening or working on the machine. Remove the blockade with
a suitable tool. Before starting up the machine again the blockade must be totally
removed and all security covers and devices must be mounted.
Attention!
The removal of a blockade can cause sudden movements of the machine. Watch out
while removing a blockade that such a movement cannot cause injuries or danger.
4.10 Turning off the machine
Reduce the machine speed to idle speed before turning off the machine. Then turn off
the impellent.
Disregarding these instructions can cause damage on the impellent.
Due to centrifugal force pieces of wood can get stuck. When turning off the machine
the pieces can fall onto the outer ring. When starting up again these pieces can block
the machine (between paddles and outer ring). This kind of blockade can be avoided
by turning on the machine again just before the knife disk has come to stop, so that
the pieces can be thrown out.
