1. Safety instructions
1.8 Crane
When the machine is designated for crane use only it is only allowed to feed it with a
crane.
When using a crane also observe the crane instruction manual.
Attention!
When feeding the machine the operator has to be outside of the pivoting range of the
crane and the objects in the crane clamshell. Risk of injury!
1.9 Maintenance and repair
1. Maintenance and repair works are only allowed when the engine is turned off
and the woodchipper has come to a total stand still. The machine has to be
secured against rolling away (fixing brake, wheel chocks) and against accidental
switch-on (pull off key)!
2. After turning off the impellent the machine can run on because of the centrifugal
mass the woodchipper. Do not open the machine during this time! Check that
the knife disk has come to a total stand still before opening the machine (visual
verification through slots of the belt cover or at the PTO). Only when the
machine has come to a total stand still it is allowed to work on the machine!
3. Only use spare parts that correspond with the manufacturers technical
requirements. This is given by original spare parts or by the machine
manufacture released external products.
4. Look for secured support when working under lifted covers!
5. Use suitable personal protection when working with sharp parts e.g. knives
(gloves, safety shoes etc.).
6. Block the knife disk in knife changing position when changing knives.
7. Wear safety glasses when sharpening knives!
8. Only open the ejector cap when the knife disk has come to a total stand still
(visual verification)!
9. When tipping the ejector cap turn and secure the exhaust chute in the tipping
direction!
10. Mounting and dismounting of drive belts only when the impellent is turned off!
11. All safety devices must be approved mounted!
12. All repairs such as welding, grinding, drilling etc. are not allowed on safety
technical parts of the machine such as frame, axles, towing devices, safety
switch off etc.. These repair works are just allowed for manufacture authorized
service centers.
