19 Waste disposal
19.1 Packaging
Packaging materials must be disposed of as prescribed by the
current local regulations.
19.2 Unit
In the European Economic Area (EEA) the disposal of waste
equipment is regulated in the "Directive of the European
Parliament and of the Council on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE)". The current official journal on
this matter is available on the European Parliament's homepage.
The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic
equipment is a crossed-out trash can.
Disposal with household waste (unsorted waste) or similar
collections of
municipal waste is not permitted!
Contact an authorized waste disposal contractor in your country.
19.3 Refrigerant
Refrigerants must be disposed of as prescribed by the current local
regulations.
They may only be disposed of by trained personnel.
