Release Information Statement introduced before Junos OS Release 7.4.
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 12.1X48 for PTX Series Packet Transport
routers.
Support at the [edit forwarding-options analyzer analyzer-name input] hierarchy level for
MX Series routers introduced in Junos OS Release 14.1.
Description Set the ratio of the number of packets to be sampled. For example, if you specify a rate
of 10, every tenth packet (1 packet out of 10) is sampled.
Native analyzer sessions (that is, the [edit forwarding-options analyzer analyzer-name
input] hierarchy level for MX Series routers) can be configured without specifying input
parameters, which means that the instance uses default input values: rate = 1 and
maximum-packet-length = 0.
Options number—Denominator of the ratio.
Range: 1 through 65,535
