10.1 Backup battery, lithium, 2xA-cells
MULTICAL® 803 is always delivered with 2xA-cell backup battery (Kamstrup type HC-993-10). It requires no tool to
install or replace the backup battery when cover and base cover of the calculator are separated.
It is possible to use the backup battery for the operation of the basic meter functionality or basic meter functionality
and communication on module slot 1. The supply of module slot 1 during backup requires that the backup battery
connection is moved to the connector that is shielded by a label with the battery symbol and the text “Module 1”.
This connector is placed next to the connector to which the battery is connected on delivery, see figure below.
Each battery cell has a lithium content of approx. 0.9 g, which excepts the backup battery from being subject to
regulations for transportation of dangerous goods.
