8 Troubleshooting
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Patient simulator does not
move.
The safety shutoff is activ-
ated.
Check the safety shut-off and eliminate the reason
for the shut-off.
Start program for learning the end-positions.
Suction power of saliva
ejector is insufficient.
Spray mist extractor is not
closed.
Close spray mist extractor.
Wastewater tank is not in-
serted correctly.
Insert wastewater tank correctly.
The three-function / multi-
functional handpiece is not
working properly.
Compressed air shut-off
valve is closed.
Open the shut-off valve.
Water shut-off valve is
closed.
Open the shut-off valve.
No voltage supply. Main switch is OFF.
Turn on the main switch.
Main fuse is blown.
Unplug the units from the mains.
Replace the microfuse T6.3H.
The main service fuse is situated next to the mas-
ter switch.
Laboratory handpiece can-
not be started.
Instrument preselection
laboratory handpiece key
not pressed.
Press the Instrument preselection laboratory hand-
piece key
Mains switch not at "I" ON
setting.
Push the mains switch to the "I" ON setting.
Clamping system of the
laboratory handpiece is not
closed correctly.
Close the clamping system of the laboratory hand-
piece correctly.
An integrated overload
fuse shuts off the device if
it runs too long or the load
is too high.
Move the power switch to "Off" position, and let it
stay off for a while.
Switch on the power switch and restart the hand-
piece.
Faulty programming of
laboratory handpiece / mo-
tor / turbine.
Program the correct device.
Suction power decreases. Waste water tank is full.
Drain the wastewater tank.
Refill the pressure tank.
Display shows nothing. Bus / hardware error.
Turn the device off and on.
Call the service technician to look into the problem
if it continues to exist.
Operating device no func-
tion.
Bus / hardware error.
Turn the device off and on.
Call the service technician to look into the problem
if it continues to exist.
