3. Using the system
3.12 Taking an occlusal projection image
Comfort Occlusal™ 4C images are pro-
duced using TWO size 3 IPs, the Comfort
Occlusal bite protector and the hygiene bag
(The Comfort Occlusal 4C IP). Refer to the
separate instructions supplied with the Com-
fort Occlusal™ 4C kit.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to occlusal imaging geometry and imag-
ing plate positioning, accurate distance and
angle measurements cannot be taken from
occlusal projection images.
1. PC: Select occlusal from Device set-
tings > Occlusal or Setup > Scanner
> Occlusal (see section: B.3.7 Occlusal
page) depending on the software you are
using.
2. Place two size 3 IPs into their correspond-
ing protective covers.
3. Slide the two size 3 IPs and protective
covers into the Comfort Occlusal bite pro-
tector. Insert the Comfort Occlusal bite
protector and IPs into the Comfort Occlu-
sal hygiene bag and seal the bag.
4. Place the sealed Comfort Occlusal 4C IP
into the patient’s mouth and take an ex-
posure.
5. Remove the sealed Comfort Occlusal 4C IP
from the patient’s mouth.
6. Open the sealed Comfort Occlusal 4C IP.
Remove the two size 3 IPs and scan them.
