Performance Verification for Bluetooth Card 5
Keysight U8903B Service Guide 89
– The first two Bluetooth audio tests validates the audio functionality of the standard HFP
audio bandwidth (8 kHz sample rate) using the CVSD audio codec for the analyzer and
generator.
– The subsequent Bluetooth audio tests validates the audio functionality of the wideband
HFP audio bandwidth (16 kHz sample rate) using the CVSD audio codec for the
analyzer and generator.
Figure 5-9 U8903B Bluetooth test for HFP profile (BT Role: Responder, Audio Role: HF)
– The second set of Bluetooth tests for the HFP profile is performed with the DUT’s
Bluetooth profile role configured as Responder and the audio role configured as
Handsfree.
– The HFP profile tests shown in Figure 5-9 are connectivity tests and consist of the
following:
– HFP_RESP_HF_CVSD_Inquire, Pair & Connect
– HFP_RESP_HF_mSBC(WB)_Disconnect & Connect
– HFP_RESP_HF_Disconnect & Unpair
– The connectivity tests validates the functionality of the DUT's ability to receive inquiry,
pairing, unpairing, connection, and disconnection.
– The remaining HFP profile tests are the Bluetooth audio tests and consist of the
following:
– HFP GEN Test
– HFP ANA Test
– HFP GEN (WBs) Test
– HFP ANA (WBs) Test
–The Bluetooth audio tests are considered as subset tests that fall under the HFP profile.
The HFP Bluetooth pairing, profile connection, and audio connection have to be
successfully established before the Bluetooth audio tests can be performed.
– The first two Bluetooth audio tests validates the audio functionality of the standard HFP
audio bandwidth (8 kHz sample rate) using the CVSD audio codec for the analyzer and
generator.
