reduce
the

sliding

the
lap
belt

suffering
personal
injury

recline

seat
back
any
more
than
necessary
for
comfort.
The
seat
belts
are
designed
to
provide
optimum
pro-
tection
when
the
passenger
and
driver
are

back
and
upright
in
their
seat.
During
a
colli-
sion,
especially
a
front-end
colli-
sion,
the
risk
of
personal
injury
may
increase
with
the
increasing
recline
angle
of
the
seat
back
because
the
passenger
and
driver
may
slide
under
the
lap
belt
and
have
restraint
forces
applied
directly
to
their
abdominal
areas.
Therefore,
try
to
keep
the
seat
back
in
a
fairly
upright
position
whenever
possible.

remove
the
headrest,
press
the
stop
catch
release
and
pull
the
head-
rest
straight
up.

When
installing
the
headrest,
push
it
all
the
way
down
and
make
sure
it
is
securely
in
place.

To

and
neck
injuries,

not
operate
the
vehicle
with
the
head
restraints
removed.

Pull
the
seat
back
lever
or
depress
the
foot
pedal.
The
passenger's
seat
will
auto-
matically
slide
forward
and
the
seat
back
will
fold.
After
your
passengers
are
in
or
out,
simply
slide
the
seat
rearward.
Make
sure
that
the
seat
is
locked
in
place.
CAUTION
Passengers
sitting
in
the
rear
seat
must
be
careful
not
to
accidentally
press
the
pedal
while
vehicle
is
moving.
