Lamps
CHECKING
OPERATION
The
warning
lamps
are
checked
by
turn-
ing
the
ignition
switch
ON
(do
not
start
the
engine).
Any
lamp
that
does
not
come
on

checked

SYSTEM
WARNING
This
warning
has
two
functions
Parking
Brake
Warning
This
warning
lamp
lights
when
the
parking
brake
is
applied
and
the
ignition
switch
is
at
START
or
ON.
The
warning
should
go
out
when
the
parking
brake
is
released.
Low
Brake
Fluid
Level
Warning
If
the
warning
lamp
still
remains
on,
it
may
indicate
that
the
brake
fluid
level
in
the
reservoir
is
low.

Be
sure
the
parking
brake
is
released.
If
the
lamp
still
remains
on:
Drive
safely
to
the
side
of
the
road
and
carefully
stop
the
vehicle.
With
the
engine
stopped,
check
the
brake
fluid
level
immediately
and
add
fluid
as
required
(page6-15).
All
brake
components
should
also
be
checked
immediately
for
fluid
leaks.
If
any
leaks
are
found,
if
the
warning
remains
on,
or
if
the
brakes
do
not
operate
properly,
do
not
drive
the
vehi-
cle.
Have
it
towed
to
an
authorized,
Kia
Dealer
for
a
brake
system
inspec-
tion
and
necessary
repairs.
