SNOW
TYRES
When
snow
tyres
are
used,
select
the
size
and
construction
specified
on
the
tyre
pressure
chart
label.
It
is
strongly
recommended
that
snow
tyres
be
used
on
all
four
wheels,
or
poor
handling
may
result.
Snow
tyres
should
not
be
operated
at
speeds
exceeding
120
km/h
(75
mph).
These
tyres
should
be
inflated
0.3kg
f/cm
(4psi,
28kpa)
above
the
recom-
mended
pressures
shown
on
the
tyre
pressure
chart,
but
inflation
should
never
exceed
the
maximum
cold-tyre
pressure
shown
on
tyre
side
walls.
WARNING!
Snow
tyres
should
be
equivalent
in
size
and
type
to
the
vehicles
stan-
dard
tyres.
Otherwise,
the
safety
and
handling
of
your
vehicle
may
be
adversely
affected.
NOTE
Do
not
install
studded
tyres
without
first
checking
local
regulations
for
possible
restrictions.

Tyre
Chain
Selection
Regulations
regarding
the
use
of
tyre
chains
vary
according
to
location
or
type
of
road,
so
always
check
them
before
installing
chains.
Chain
Installation
When
installing
chains
on
your
tyres,
carefully
follow
the
instructions
of
the
chain
manufacturer.
The
chain
bands
will
scratch
the
wheel
covers.
Remove
the
covers
before
installing
the
chains.
Install
the
proper
size
chains
on
the
front
tyres
as
tightly
as
possible.
(no
slack)
with
ends
securely
restrained.
If
any
contact
of
the
chains
against
the
vehicle
is
heard,
stop
and
retighten
the
chains.
Retighten
the
chains
after
driving
0.5~1.0
km.(0.
25~0.5
mile).
CAUTION
e
The
use
of
chains
may
adversely
affect
vehicle
handling.
e
Do
not
exceed
50
km/h
(30
mph)
or
the
chain
manufacturer's
recom-
mended
speed
limits,
whichever
is
lower.
e
Drive
carefully
and
avoid
bumps,
holes,
and
sharp
turns,
which
may
cause
the
vehicle
to
bounce.
e
Avoid
sharp
turns
or
locked-wheel
braking.
