9.
Insert
the
jack
handle
into
the
jack
and
turn
it
clockwise
until
the
tyre
just
clears
the
ground,
less
than
30mm
(1.2
in).
Before
removing
the
lug
nuts,
make
sure
the
vehicle
is
stable
and
that
there
is
no
chance
for
it
to
slip
or
move.
10.Remove
the
lug
nuts
by
turning
them
counterclockwise,
and
then
remove
the
wheel.
11.
Mount
the
spare
wheel
into
position
and
tighten
the
lug
nuts
by
hand.

12.
Turn
the
jack
handle
and
lower
the
vehicle
to
the
ground.
Tighten
the
lug
nuts
firmly
in
a
X
pattern.
If
you
are
unsure
of
the
tightness
of
the
lug
nuts,
have
them
checked
at
the
nearest
service
station.
The
specified
tightening
torque
is
9.0
to
12.0
m-kg
(65
to
87
ft-lb,
90
to
120
N-m).
13.
Place
the
displaced
wheel
in
the
lug-
gage
compartment.
Have
the
flat
tyre
repaired
as
soon
as
possible.
WARNING!
Your
vehicle
has
metric
threads
on
the
wheel
studs
and
nuts.
Make
certain
during
wheel
removal
that
the
same
nuts
removed
are
rein-
stalled
or
that
replacement
nuts
have
metric
threads
and
the
same
chamfer
configuration.
Installation
of
a
non-metric
thread
nut
on
a
metric
stud
or
vice
versa
will
not
properly
secure
the
wheel
to
the
hub
and
will
damage
the
stud
so
that
it
must
be
replaced.
Note
that
many
Lug
nuts
do
not
have
metric
threads.
Be
sure
to
use
extreme
care
when
checking
for
thread
style
before
Installing
after
market
lug
nuts
or
wheels.
If
in
doubt
con-
sult
an
authorized
Kia
Dealer.
Damaged
studs
may
result
in
wheel
loss
and
personal
injury.
