LED
FLASH
Description Recommended Action
The STATUS LED does not illuminate. 1. Check the SOLDER from the SHUTTER BOARD to the
MAIN BOARD.
2. If necessary, do a replacement of:
•LED
• MAIN BOARD
The SELF-TIMER LED does not operate
correctly.
1. Check the SOLDER of the LED CABLE on the MAIN
BOARD.
2. If necessary, do a replacement of:
•LED
• MAIN BOARD
Description Recommended Action
The FLASH does not energize. 1. Check that the correct mode of the FLASH is selected.
2. Measure the voltage of the STROBE CAPACITOR across
both ends of the LAMP. The voltage should be > 300 V.
3. Check that the TRIGGER WIRE is soldered correctly.
4. If necessary, do a replacement of:
• SHUTTER BOARD
•FLASH LAMP
The FLASH operates in the “Fill Flash” mode,
but does not operate in the “Auto Flash” mode.
1. Check the brightness of the environment.
2. If necessary, do a replacement of the SHUTTER BOARD.
Smoke emits from the CAMERA when the
FLASH is actuated.
•Check:
– connection of the metal PLATE between the
CAPACITOR AY and the SHUTTER BOARD
– FLASH COVER or REFLECTOR AY has no debris
• If necessary, do a replacement of the SHUTTER BOARD.
The LAMP for the FLASH is dark. 1. Check the connection of the metal PLATE between the
FLASH AY and the SHUTTER BOARD.
2. If necessary, do a replacement of:
• CAPACITOR AY that includes the FLASH AY
• SHUTTER BOARD
