Power up:
1. With the MASTER fader in the minimum position, connect the AC adaptor to the AC9V input on the rear panel, then to a power
source. Note that the STANDBY LED indicator lights on the top panel.
2. Press the [POWER] key on the top panel to power up the D12. Note: The current software version will be indicated in the
display on power-up.
Many of the examples and exercises in this guide refer to the internal demo song “I CAN’T WAIT”. If the demo
song has been deleted from memory and is no longer available, you can still follow this Guided Tour, and gain a
basic understanding of the D12 features and operation modes.

Select and Play the Demo Song:
3. Press [SONG/CD] until you select the “SelSong” tab in the display.
4. Rotate the [DIAL] to the left, until the first demo song “I001: I CAN’T WAIT” loads.
5. The [TRACK STATUS] LED's should all be lit green. If not, press any of the [TRACK STATUS] keys that are not green (Play
status).
6. Raise your external monitoring system levels, and then press [PLAY] on the D12.
7. Slowly raise the D12 MASTER fader to the “0” position, and rotate the D12 MONITOR LEVEL knob (on the rear panel) to a
comfortable listening level (or raise the PHONES LEVEL knob if you’re only using headphones).
8. When the demo song has finished playing, press [STOP].
